Population Genetic Journal Club

We meet every other Monday at 15.00 in the seminar room/library of evolution biology.

We focus on papers dealing with different aspects of population genetics such as genetic studies of natural populations, methods for acquiring and analysing population data, population genomics, theoretical population genetics, statistical genetics etc. We hope that this journal club will generate interesting discussions on population genetics, and that it will bring together people with different backgrounds and varying perspectives.

For each meeting, one person is responsible for choosing and presenting a paper and we aim for a 30 - 40 minute presentation followed by a discussion. There is also room for presenting ongoing research, conference visits or informal talks by visiting colleagues.

If you are interested in participating, please send an email to Per Sjödin (Per.Sjodin "at" ebc.uu.se) or Mattias Jakobsson (Mattias.Jakobsson "at" ebc.uu.se).

See you there!
